Pfc. Jessy S. Rogers, a 20-year-old native of Copper Center, was killed on July 23, 2007, when a vehicle he was riding in with three other soldiers was destroyed by an improvised explosive device in the Sarobi District of Afghanistan.
Rogers served with the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment (Airborne), 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team based Vicenza, Italy.
