Spc. John G. Borbonus, 19, died April 12, 2007, when a car bomb exploded in Baghdad, causing multiple buildings to collapse and inflicting heavy casualties, according to military reports.
Borbonus, a native of Boise, Idaho, was assigned to Headquarters Troop, 1st Squadron, 40th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division based at Fort Richardson.
