Day 15: Five more complete The Last Great Race

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Two more mushers finished the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race on Sunday, bringing the total to 44.

Rookies Jen Seavey and Tom Thurston pulled in under Nome's burled arch late in the afternoon. Nine teams are still out on the trail. Tim Osmar, Rachael Scdoris and Wade Marrs all finished after midnight Monday.

As of 4 a.m. Monday, five teams were still on the trail. Alan Peck scratched in Shaktoolik, leaving Timothy Hunt and Heather Siirtola to battle for Red Lantern.
