ANCHORAGE, Alaska — In a move speculated over since announcing she was resigning as governor, Sarah Palin has agreed to a multiyear deal with Fox News Channel, the network announced Monday.
Palin will appear on various Fox News and Fox Business Network programs and contribute to FoxNews.com and Fox News Radio. She will also host an occasional series, "Real American Stories," described by Fox as "a series exploring inspirational real-life tales of overcoming adversity throughout the American landscape."
Oliver North, the former Marine at the center of the Iran-Contra scandal in the 1980s, has a similar platform in "War Stories," a military documentary program.
"I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News," Palin said in a press release. "It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news."
The move to Fox News -- widely seen as a friendly outlet for conservative pundits and the most-watched cable news channel -- has been rumored ever since Palin stunned everyone with her announcement she was quitting her post.
