ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Divers have recovered two bodies from the wreckage of the Ace Cargo plane that went down near Sand Point on Friday.
The divers identified the pilot as Ameer Ali and the co-pilot as Emily Lewis.
The National Transportation Safety Board spent Monday attempting to retrieve the wreckage of the plane, a Beech 1900-C.
NTSB investigator Clint Johnson says the recovery is challenging because the plane was highly fragmented.
Johnson hopes that 75 percent of the wreckage can be recovered and re-assembled in Sand Point to determine the cause of the crash.
Since the plane was used for cargo there was no voice box.
Crews were working late Monday evening retrieving smaller pieces of the wreckage. Most of the missing parts are from the Beech's cargo area.
The plane went down about two miles from the end of the Sand Point runway.
