WHITE ROCK, British Columbia -- White Rock, British Columbia woke up early Tuesday morning to a special guest making an appearance in town.

The Olympic flame is nearing the end of its journey across Canada, and people were eager to see it and play their part in these Olympic Games by cheering the flame on its way to Vancouver.

"I thought it was cool," said one young spectator.

"It was really good, I'm all hyped for it, it's really really good," said another.

It was also crowded.

"We couldn't believe how many people were on the streets because we've lived here our whole lives, and we have big, big events here for bike racing, international bike racing, and we never see the crowds at 7:30 at night like this. And it's 6:30 in the morning and people are out here. It's just incredibly exciting to see the energy that we have in Canada and we're so excited for Canada to win gold! Whoo! Go Canada Go!" said White Rock resident Trish Wagner, sporting a mock gold medal.
