ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- The U.S. Senate has unanimously confirmed Larry Persily to be Alaska's federal gas pipeline coordinator.
Persily was recommended for the position by Sen. Mark Begich. He replaces the Bush administration's pipeline coordinator Drue Pearce.
Begich says Persily is uniquely qualified to work with the White House to bring Alaska's gas to market.
