ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- The Alaska Railroad has identified the victim of an ultralight crash this weekend.

A railroad spokesperson says 54-year-old John Jeffrey Bennett of Anchorage was the pilot and owner of the aircraft.

The crash happened near Eklutna by Alaska Railroad mile post 138.

The National Transportation Safety Board says a passing train spotted the wreck next to the tracks early Sunday.

Investigators found Bennett dead at the scene.

The NTSB says it's working with the family to bring in the wreck so it can further investigate what caused the crash.
