ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Joe Miller formally announced his candidacy Monday for the U.S. Senate.

Miller enters the Republican primary looking to replace incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski.

Miller says he plans on using new technology and door-to-door campaigning to communicate his message to voters.

State Sens. John Coghill and Fred Dyson, and state Rep. Tammie Wilson have given Miller their support.
