ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A late-night fire Friday in Anchorage left two people in critical condition.

The Anchorage Fire Department responded to a call just before midnight at an apartment complex on East 10th Avenue. Firefighters rescued two people, who were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Officials say the fire was contained at about 12:15 a.m.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Fire officials do not have an update on the conditions of the victims.
