ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A 25-year-old Anchorage man with a long criminal record has been sentenced to more than five years in federal prison.

U.S. Attorney Karen L. Loeffler says Terrance Marcel Davis was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm and sentenced Wednesday to 65 months in prison.

Loeffler says early on July 3, Davis struck another man over the head with a firearm during a fight at Fantasies on 5th, described on its website as an "adult cabaret and gentlemen's club."

Davis had prior convictions for felony assault, felony misconduct involving a controlled substance, failure to appear, and unlawful evasion. Loeffler says Davis also has a history of fleeing from law enforcement and violating his terms of probation and bail release.
