JUNEAU, Alaska -- Gov. Sean Parnell wants ideas for how a shuttered private college in southeast Alaska can be used to "benefit Alaskans."
This follows the University of Dubuque's decision to walk away from talks over Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka, citing lack of community support.
Parnell acknowledged in a Facebook posting Wednesday that any decision on the campus' fate rests with its board. But he said he wants to generate "ideas and opportunities."
