JUNEAU, Alaska -- The John Muir Cabin in the Tongass National Forest is being temporarily closed for renovations.
The U.S. Forest Service says the closure of the cabin will begin Monday and last through the month of August.
During that time, the Forest Service says the cabin will not be available for rent or use as a warming shelter. The agency also wants people to avoid the immediate area surrounding the cabin during the renovation period.
