ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A grand jury has indicted a 49-year-old Anchorage resident on sexual assault charges from two cold cases.

In 2005 police said Anthony Dillard pulled a woman by her hair into a tent at the Fur Rendezvous carnival, where he allegedly strangled and smothered the woman then sexually assaulted her.

In August 2007, Dillard and another male allegedly lured an intoxicated woman behind the Panhandle Bar, where the second suspect held the woman down and Dillard raped her.

The APD Special Victims unit asks anyone with information about other crimes that may be connected to Dillard to call 786-8530.

Dillard's bail is set at $100,000 with a court-approved third-party custodian.
