UAA spikers shock WWU Vikings

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The University of Alaska Anchorage volleyball team scored a strong upset Saturday against the 15th-ranked Western Washington University Vikings at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.

UAA was receiving early in the first set, but freshman Robyn Burton, scored some hard kills as the home team started strong and won the first set 25-23.

The big cuts kept on coming with UAA’s Jackie Matthisen subjecting WWU to a punishing barrage, helping the Seawolves to an impressive victory in four sets.
