Aces prepping for training camp

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — It's only appropriate that Anchorage saw snow over the weekend, because hockey season is almost upon us.

The Alaska Aces open training camp Friday. Head Coach Brent Thompson will lead his players out on the Ben Boeke Arena ice at 10:00 a.m.

Practice is open to the public and camp will run through October 14. The regular season starts October 15.

The first time Aces fans can see their team on ice is next Wednesday and Thursday when the Aces host the Stockton Thunder in their "Purple with Purpose" fundraiser.
