ANCHORAGE, Alaska — In the final week of the CIC flag football regular season, league-leading East took on the second place Dimond Lynx. You bet that calls for a pep band.
The game remained scoreless going into the second quarter, but Dimond’s Kimmy Jackson was quick to remedy that with a short touchdown run to put the Lynx up seven at the break
In the third quarter Dimond found themselves deep in the red zone with a fourth and goal. Quarterback Kelsey Hall was able to connect with Keiahnna Engel in the end zone.
A late rally from the East T-Birds falls short and Dimond takes the game 21-13.
East, Dimond and Bartlett are all tied with a record of 9-3.
