ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A woman who was rushed into surgery Tuesday night after being shot several times is expected to survive.
Anchorage police were called to Telstar Circle just after 9 p.m. Tuesday after reports of gunshots. Police found a 40-year-old woman had been shot in the torso and arm.
Officers brought the woman's husband to the station, but while he was being questioned he lost consciousness and was taken to the hospital. Investigators are still trying to figure out exactly what happened.
“We got just a little bit of it, but not enough that I can say what I know is factual yet,” said APD Sgt. Tom Oels.
The condition and identity of the victim and her husband have not been released.
