ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Ghouls, goblins and witches will have to find another place to collect candy, as this year’s Trick or Treat Town event has been cancelled.
Art Services North, the company which now handles the event, says due to the process of transitioning Trick or Treat Town from the Imaginarium they had to cancel it.
Organizers plan to partner with the Boys and Girls Club next year for the event’s 20th anniversary. It used to be held at the ACS warehouse, and was billed as a way for kids to dress up and get Halloween candy out of the cold.
“Trick or Treat Town, for the last 18 years, has been a fantastic opportunity for kids to go trick-or-treating in a safe, warm environment -- and it’s under construction this year,” said Gail Palmer with Art Services North.
Palmer went on to say the event still needs sponsors. If you would like to help with the 20th anniversary of Trick or Treat Town, you can call Art Services North at 279-7500.
