October 01, 2010|by John Carpenter

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — While high-school quarterfinal football action started Friday, Saturday will have no shortage of other games taking place across the state.

Following Friday’s West Valley-West and Dimond-Colony contests, the CIC’s other two large-schools quarterfinals are slated for Saturday. Service will meet Palmer at 4 p.m. at Dimond Alumni Field, while Chugiak is in Juneau to take on the Crimson Bears at 7 p.m.

In addition, all four small-schools quarterfinals are set for Saturday: Homer is at Nikiski, Skyview is visiting Eielson, unbeaten Thunder Mountain will meet unbeaten Soldotna and Barrow is making the long
trip to Kenai.
