UAA runners raking in GNAC honors

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Marko Cheseto wins GNAC honors almost as much as he wins races.

After winning his third race of the season over the weekend, the Seawolf harrier has been named the GNAC Male Runner of the Week. This is the second time this season Cheseto has taken home the title.

Cheseto’s win at the Willamette-Charles Bowles Invitational Saturday put UAA team in third place at the event.

Cheseto isn’t alone in collecting GNAC honors.

UAA’s Miriam Kipng’eno was named the GNAC Women’s Runner of the Week.

Kipng’eno won the women’s race in Salem on Saturday.
