Flag football playoffs start Thursday, end Saturday

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — While the state’s football playoffs take three weeks to complete, the Cook Inlet Conference flag football playoffs will finish in three days. They’re set to start Thursday and end Saturday.

All eight flag football teams will be in action Thursday. At Dimond's Alumni Field, Eagle River will face Dimond at 6 p.m., followed by South against Chugiak. Those games’ winners will meet Friday at the Dome in the semifinals.

Also Thursday, Service will meet East at 6 p.m. at the Anchorage
Football Stadium, followed by West taking on Bartlett at 7:30 p.m. The winners from AFS will play Friday in the Dome for a spot in Saturday's championship game.
