Lawmakers attend Fairbanks pipe donation

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Alaska Pipeline Project has donated a piece of pipe to the Fairbanks Pipeline Training Center for use in learning how to build an Alaska natural gas pipeline.

Gov. Sean Parnell and other legislators were on hand for the delivery. The donation was a partnership between TransCanada Alaska and ExxonMobil.

The Alaska Pipeline Project aims to give Alaska options to develop its North Slope natural gas resources.
