Big Lake head-on collision kills 1

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — One person died Thursday night after a head-on collision near Big Lake. A minivan and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of Big Lake Road and Beaver Lake Road just after 5:30 p.m.

Two people in the pickup truck were uninjured when Alaska State Troopers responded to the scene.

Troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
