ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The UAA volleyball team kept its NCAA playoff hopes alive with a four-game win over St. Martin's, 25-16, 25-19, 24-26, 25-11. The Seawolves improve to 17-8 overall, 12-5 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
Only Saturday's home match versus Western Oregon remains for UAA on the regular season schedule. A win there should lock up a playoff bid, as the Seawolves entered the week ranked 7th in the West Region poll. Eight schools make the postseason.
Against the Saints, Robyn Burton and Marie Borowikow led the attack with nine kills apiece. Jackie Matthisen and Courtney Lundberg each added eight kills.
Western Oregon also won on Thursday. Both the Wolves and Seawolves are 12 and 5 in league play.
