ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Alaska Aces were on home ice Sunday night at the Sullivan Arena for the final contest of a five-game series against the Ontario Reign, but neither side was able to score until the second period.
The Reign was first to sink a puck, as Dusty Collins stuffed home an Eric Doyle shot for a 1-0 lead. That lead doubled in the third period when Reign captain David Walker scored a second goal.
A late Aces goal by Wes Goldie wasn’t enough to turn the tide as Alaska fell 2-1, dropping its record to 7-4-1-0. The Aces remain in second place in the ECHL’s West Division.
