Police say child wasn't abducted in Mountain View Friday

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Anchorage police officials said Saturday that they no longer believe a child was abducted near the Mountain View Boys and Girls Club Friday night. Police were searching for the driver of a red pickup truck involved in the possible incident.

Four children told the club that they saw a young boy being picked up by the driver, and were concerned because the child was reportedly yelling. But investigators say they have not received any other calls about a missing boy, and believe there was no abduction.
