The Aces scored late in the second period and early in the third to beat the Idaho Steelheads, 3-0 in the penultimate game of their season-long eight game road trip. Adam Courchaine stopped all 23 shots for the shutout. Alaska improves to 11-7-1 overall, and those victories include at least one blanking of each National Conference opponent it has faced thus far.
Chad Anderson scored at 19:05 of the second to give the Aces a 1-0 lead. They kept the momentum into the third when Ethan Cox buried his third of the year at 2:58. Jerad Stewart also notched a goal.
The Aces finish their road trip tomorrow, also against Idaho.
