ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The UAA Seawolves followed their 4th place finish in the Great Alaska Shootout with a stifling effort to begin the Glacier Classic in Fairbanks.
UAA held west region opponent Hawaii Pacific to 18 first half points and cruised to victory, 75-53.
The Seawolves take on The University of British Columbia tomorrow to conclude the Classic.
Taylor Rhode led UAA with 22 pints on 10 for 12 shooting.
Casey Robinson threw in 13 points, while Drew Robinson directed the offense with 11 assists. UAA shot 61% from the field overall.
In the other game in the Glacier Classic on Friday, British Columbia smoked the host Nanooks, 98-85.
