ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The University of Alaska Anchorage Seawolves’ basketball teams were both on the road Saturday, as the men and women each scored wins over their opponents.
The UAA men kept their momentum trending in the right direction with a 78-71 win over the Northwest Nazarene Crusaders. Lonnie Ridgeway made his presence felt with 22 points and nine rebounds in the Seawolves’ ninth consecutive win, giving them a 2-0 record in GNAC play.
The Seawolves women also put up 78 points in their Saturday victory, topping Montana State-Billings. Hanna Johannson scored 19 points in the game, while her squad hit 26 of 27 freebies -- a school record.
