ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A Delta Junction man was killed in a single-vehicle crash at Mile 292 of the Richardson Highway Wednesday afternoon.
Troopers say at about 1:15 p.m., 62-year-old Robert Peter Allain lost control of his 1979 Ford Pickup on icy roads while going on an uphill, lefthand curve. His truck went off the road and rolled before hitting a stand of trees. Allain, of Delta Junction, died of his injuries.
There were no others in the vehicle. Troopers say Allain was not wearing a seatbelt.
Editor's note: State troopers say the crash happened on the Richardson Highway, not the Parks Highway as initially stated in trooper dispatches.
