ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The trial of a woman accused of conspiring to kill her former fiance is now set for April of 2012.
Mechele Linehan's second murder trial was initially scheduled for this month, but at a pre-trial conference hearing Tuesday her new defense team said it needs more time to get up to speed on the case.
Judge Philip Volland agreed, and set the tentative trial date for the first two weeks of next April.
A court of appeals overturned Linehan's 2007 conviction last February, saying she didn't get a fair trial.
