Tyson Johnson (of Team 8) posted on the Iron Dog Facebook's wall about half an hour ago about what happened to their sled.
He said at the gas stop in Puntilla fuel was spilled on the sled and muffler and caught the whole machine on fire. They thought just the recoil rope was burned, but five miles out the sled seized up and it turns out it had burned the oil lines leading to the motor. In another turn of bad luck, the motor they had on their parts plane was the wrong motor.

After a failed attempt at a lunch break (Meaning, no open restaurants within walking distance) I'm back down at race HQ for an update. Thankfully, Sicily's delivers and I am fueled up. It's also about time to create a new post for the updates -- six pages is a bit long.
