Police Identify Mountain View Homicide Victim

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Anchorage police have identified the man killed in a Mountain View shooting early Thursday morning. Officials say Devante L. Jordan, 19, was shot multiple times and was dead when officers found him.

The shooting happened at about midnight Thursday at an apartment complex on Richmond Avenue. APD received several calls from people reporting multiple gunshots.

“When we arrived we found a single gunshot victim that appears to be deceased," said APD Sgt. Kevin Vandergriff. "Investigation is in very early stages, so we're interviewing folks and going from there.”

Officials have not identified any suspects in Jordan's shooting.
