Chitina Dip Net Fishery Schedule Amended

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Chitina personal use dip net salmon fishery in the Copper River will continue with its seventh opening next Monday, July 11 at 5 p.m., after a brief closure from the night before.

An emergency order from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game says the previous opening, from July 4 through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 10, is unchanged.

The seventh opening will be from 5 p.m. July 11, through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 17.

Fish and Game says there will be no supplemental harvest during the seventh opening. The Department reminds fishermen that the seasonal bag limit is a total of 15 salmon for a household of one, and 30 salmon for a household of two or more, and that steelhead and king salmon may not be retained.

Monday, July 11, 5:00 p.m. through Sunday, July 17, 11:59 p.m.
Thursday, July 21, 12:01 a.m. through Sunday, July 24, 11:59 p.m.

Monday, July 25, 6:00 a.m., continuous as provided by regulation
