ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Anchorage police have arrested a local man for allegedly sexually assaulting two girls who were staying with him and threatening them with a sword earlier this month.

According to APD spokesperson Anita Shell, police were informed of the assaults July 19 and arrested 28-year-old Keone Jason Lee Wednesday.

Police say Lee offered to let a homeless woman and her four children stay in his travel trailer on the 1400 block of Marten Street. Days after they moved in, Lee allegedly began to abuse an 11-year-old girl and her 6-year-old sister, threatening to kill friends and family with a 26-inch-long sword if the children told anyone about the assaults.

During their investigation detectives seized Lee’s computer, which contained more than 250 images of infant pornography as well as other examples of child pornography. Investigators are unsure whether Lee downloaded or produced the pornography.

Lee has been charged with four counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, five counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of third-degree assault. He is being held at the Anchorage Jail on $100,000 bail.

According to the Alaska sex offender registry, Keone Jason Lee was convicted of two charges of  posession of child pornography in 2007 by a military court in Ft. Hood, Texas.

Court records show that he was also charged with failure to register as a sex offender in Alaska in 2009, but the charge was dismissed.

Detectives believe Lee may have molested other children. Parents who believe their children had contact with Lee and were sexually assaulted are asked to call Detective Chris Thomas at 786-2628.

Editor's note: This story has been corrected to remove an erroneous reference by APD to the trailer where the alleged abuse occurred being in Nunaka Valley.
