ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Two Anchorage men have been arrested on child pornography charges after an undercover Anchorage Police Department detective allegedly received images depicting the sexual abuse of young children from both of them.
Richard O’Connor, 29, was charged with two felony counts of distribution of child pornography, as well as two counts of possession of child pornography.
Christopher W. Skotnicki, 20, was arrested on one count of possession of child pornography.
After serving search warrants, police seized computers from the residences of both men. According to an APD statement, forensic examinations of computers and media devices revealed “hundreds of images and videos” of child pornography on O’Connor’s computer and images alone on Skotnicki’s computer.Detectives worked with U.S. Marshals, University of Alaska Anchorage police and APD officers to carry out the arrests.
