The fun starts Friday at 2:00 pm at the Kenai Peninsula fairgrounds. Celebrate the world’s greatest remaining renewable resource, Alaskan salmon. Salmonstock features two stages with top Alaskan, Northwest, and national artists performing, several booths featuring delicious treats from local restaurants and Alaskan breweries will offer their brews in a very extensive beer garden. Summerpalooza
Cuddy Family Midtown Park, Friday, Aug. 5, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

What is Summerpalooza? It’s a celebration for kids, their families and the entire community. You can do a little rock climbing, kayaking or do some dancing with a local DJ. There will be lots of great food and fun games and even Teen World Champion Magician Eric Gilliam. Don’t miss the fun at Cuddy Park next to the Loussac Library.

Inaugural King of the Hill Disc Golf Tournament
Hilltop Ski Area, Friday, Aug. 5 through Sunday, Aug. 7

The King of the Hill Disc Golf Tournament promises to the biggest and baddest disc golf event in Alaska. It’s three days of fun and competition at Hilltop’s 18-hole disc golf course. There is a $20 entry fee and a chance to shoot for $100,000 and one person will shoot for a million. Get more details at hilltopskiarea.org.
