APD Searching for Man Suspected of Fairview Shooting

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Anchorage Police Department is requesting help from the public in the search for a man suspected of a Fairview shooting that took place around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police are searching for Quincy “Q” Hernandez, 21, who is suspected of shooting another man in the leg near 12th Avenue and Hyder Street.

Hernandez is identified as an African-American male, 5’11, 150 lbs. with black hair in a pony tail and brown eyes.

The victim of the shooting was transported to a local hospital where his wounds were treated and he was released.

Anyone with information which may help to locate Hernandez is asked to call APD at 786-8900, Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or to submit a tip anonymously using the secure website: www.anchoragecrimestoppers.com.

Crimestoppers is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a wanted felon or the solving of a felony crime.
