ANCHORAGE, Alaska — One week after shutting out Nebraska-Omaha in a non-conference game, the Seawolves fell to the Mavericks, 4-1 in Friday's WCHA opener for both schools. The game was only 1-0 until the Mavericks broke through with three unanswered goals in the third period.
Mickey Spencer tallied UAA's only goal, his fifth of the season. UNO netminder John Faulkner needed to make only 18 saves to earn the victory as the Seawolves managed a season-low total in shots.
The loss drops UAA top 3-1-1 overall.
