Bowling League Member Scores Perfect Game at Anchorage Alley

October 26, 2011|By Chris Klint and Jason Lamb | KTUU Channel 2

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A bowling league member scored a perfect game at an Anchorage bowling alley Tuesday night, sinking 10 consecutive strikes in a triumph caught on YouTube.

Alaska Dreamers League member Bill Davis posted a YouTube video Tuesday night after he scored the final strike at Center Bowl and celebrated with friends. A view of the lane’s TV monitor confirms his perfect game and its score of 300, just in case anybody didn’t believe their eyes.

According to Wikipedia, perfect games are less rare than they once were, due to changing materials in bowling pins and balls as well as lane surfaces.

Center Bowl employees say the alley sees about a dozen perfect games each year.
