ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Parts of the Northway Mall are closed after a water pipe burst and caused flooding throughout most of the stores inside.
About 65 percent of the stores had about an inch of water, according to Northway Mall Manager Mao Tosi.
The flooding started shortly after midnight and within minutes Taylored Restoration was on scene draining the water.
The estimated cost of the damage is unknown at this time.
A few of the stores are still open, including the brand new Burlington Coat Factor, CARRS and Jo-Ann Fabric.
The entire mall hopes to be open tomorrow.
