ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Anchorage police questioned and released three people after an armed robbery at a Fairview gas station Wednesday morning, but are still seeking a suspect.
APD spokesperson Lt. Dave Parker says the Shell store, at 15th Avenue and Ingra Street, was robbed at about 9 a.m. by someone with a long gun, but did not specify what was stolen.
Police initially took three people -- two males and a female -- into temporary custody for questioning, but Parker says investigators don't think they were connected with the crime. The three were found in a four-plex that a K9 unit tracked toward and that investigators were able to get a lead to.
APD is now searching for the robber, a 6-foot-tall white man with a young-looking face, who was wearing a white jacket with a hood in surveillance video from the scene. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call APD at 786-8900 or Crime Stoppers at 561-7867.
