ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska State Troopers are investigating the death of two adults at a Kipnuk home early Sunday morning.

According to AST spokesperson Tim DeSpain, a tribal police officer told troopers just after midnight that he had been called to the home by family members who had visited to make a welfare check. The family found the adults dead, as well as an infant who was still alive.

The tribal police officer confirmed the deaths after speaking with troopers.

The infant is currently with relatives, and an investigation is in progress.
