ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Matanuska Electric Association said about 200 customers are without power on Thursday morning in the Mat-Su and Eagle River areas.

A spokesperson with MEA said the outages are scattered due to snow overloads on power lines along with 30 miles per winds affecting its system.

MEA crews are working on fixing the outages, but there is no time estimate when power will be restored.

To report an outage in the Mat-Su Valley call 746-POWR (746-7697) and Eagle River 696-POWR (696-7697).

MEA said it has around 5,600 customers.
