UNALAKLEET, Alaska — Aliy Zirkle arrived first in Unalakleet Sunday morning at 7:28 a.m. winning the Wells Fargo Gold Coast award and $2500 in gold.
Gaining ground behind Zirkle was Dallas Seavey, who arrived at 8:19 a.m. and Aaron Burmeister at 8:30 a.m.
Rounding out the top 5 is John Baker and Mitch Seavey. Baker arrived at 9:08 a.m. and Mitch Seavey is still en route.
Zirkle is currently taking a break in Unalakleet before heading out to Shaktoolik.
As of Sunday morning, only 4 mushers have scratched.
