ANCHORAGE, Alaska — An area of low pressure is situated near the Pribilofs this morning. Showers along the frontal boundary are slowly pushing through the Alaska Peninsula toward the shores of Bristol Bay and the Kuskokwim. Clouds will be fairly persistent today for all of the Southwest region with occasional rain and snow showers.
The northwest and the Slope remain dry with more sunshine. Sunshine and mild temps will return to the Interior today, as well, except over the eastern Interior, where mostly cloudy skies and flurries are likely.
Periods of clouds and showers are possible in PWS. Highs will top out in the 30s to near 40. The SE Panhandle will have clouds and scattered to isolated showers.
Anchorage and the rest of the Inlet region can expect partly cloudy conditions with 30s. Mostly cloudy skies and isolated showers are possible around Kachemak Bay.
