March 31, 2012|Channel 2 News

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Anchorage Fire dispatchers say someone smoking a cigarette in bed likely caused a Jewel Lake house fire early Saturday morning.

The blaze, on the 7000 block of Crawford St., reportedly broke out about 2:00 a.m., taking crews about half-an-hour to get under control.

Two people were taken to the hospital, but dispatchers could not provide an update on their conditions.
