ANCHORAGE, Alaska — An Anchorage woman who was killed in a Willow cabin fire Sunday morning has been identified by state medical examiners, according to Alaska State Troopers.
The body of Tari K. Flannery, 49, was found in a log cabin on Deshka Loop, after firefighters from the Westlake Volunteer, Houston and Willow fire departments extinguished a fast-moving blaze that destroyed the structure.
AST spokesperson Beth Ipsen said Sunday that Flannery and a man were staying at the cabin, which belonged to friends, over the weekend when the man left to visit a store. He returned to find the cabin fully engulfed in flames.
Flannery’s next of kin have been notified, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
