ANCHORAGE, Ak — The mother of missing JBER Senior Airman Clinton Reeves' says her 'heart is bleeding' after learning he disappeared while looking for a car he had found online.
"He was looking for a used car. And so he could be anywhere," says Judy Davis. "I know he was looking on Craigslist. And it could've been anywhere around Anchorage."On Friday, Anchorage Police officers found Reeves' missing 2012 Dodge Avenger rental car in Mountain View."They found the car unlocked, and the keys in the car with his training gear. And his phone charger," Davis says. "It just doesn't make sense."
The fuel specialist, part of JBER's 673d Air Base Wing Logistics Readiness Squadron, has been missing since April 23, when he did not report for duty. JBER officials say he was last seen leaving work for a three day weekend on April 19, and was last heard from on April 22.Davis and Reeves commanding officer, Lt. Col. Patricia Csank, say his disappearance is completely out of character."Right now im very concerned for his safety and his overall well being," Csank says. "It's unusal for him to be out of touch with his mother for this long, and for him not to go back to his work center and to talk to his supervisor."
The 24-year-old had just received his promotion, and was planning on using insurance money he had recently received after someone crashed into his car and totaled it to purchase a new vehicle.
